Rue Fréville Le Vingt
Project type, size and location: Decoration and furnishing of a 140 meter square (three bedroom) family home, Sèvres, Greater Paris
Difficulties overcome: Creation of different areas on the completely open-plan ground-floor level , bringing light into the kitchen with no window.
Testimonial: Antonia adapts her approach depending on the client. As I was didn’t have time to be involved, I delegated fully to Antonia who looked after everything, even in a complex and stressful context.
I’m delighted with the result which is all that I had imagined and more!

As the kitchen has no window, I created one using mirrored tiles. The proportions reference the window panes in the French doors of the salon nearby.

The family who lives in the house has an extensive collection of books, so a custom, full-height bookshelf was installed. The sofas are grouped around the existing fireplace and central full-height over mantel mirror.

The salon is a big room with lovely tall windows and ceiling height. In order to break up the space and make it feel cosier, I created this reading corner by the window.

This oeil de boeuf ('bull's eye') internal window was installed when the extension was created. The mirror in the kitchen reflects the light brought in by this window. The wall, stairs and banister are painted in a pinky beige colour to bring some warmth into the space.

I like to mix decorative styles - here a contemporary velvet sofa, footrest and side table with older caricature pictures and rug.

Always useful to have a chair in a bedroom to sit down when you're dressing, or to put clothes on. And this one is decorative too!
